November 29th, Sunday Night

Today was a very relaxing day I'd say. Which, I believe, was very needed. It's been a very long and busy week. I've actually caught a cold too....again :( I'm guessing the cold came from the weird work hours and weather. Today, I took some medicine and a long nap and I'm hoping it goes away quickly.

Earlier this week, Wednesday night, the night before Thanksgiving, we went over to Mike's parents house to spend the night there. The plan was we'd be leaving for Disneyland early Thanksgiving Day at 6 am and it'd be easier if we just stayed the night there. We wanted t0o be one of the first people in the park. Rachel and Jeremy, Mike's sister and brother-in-law came to visit from Utah for the Holiday, so we wanted to spend as much time with them as possible since we really don't get that much time with them.

Thanksgiving day was a lot of fun. The lines weren't bad at all! We probably rode over 12 rides or so that day.

Mike and I had to leave sort of early in the night so I could come home and get some sleep before the crazy Black Friday shopping rush at work. We got home around 9:15p Thanksgiving night, so I fell asleep around 9:30p. We were scheduled to open at 4 am, and I was scheduled to be in at 3:30, so I woke up around 2:10a to get ready.

It was a very long and exhausting day for me. They had me scheduled to work the electronics department along with another cashier from 3:30a to 12:15p. I'm a cashier in the store usually and I've never worked electronics before, so they set me up for a training day the day before the Holiday to train me a little bit on in-depth electronics 'stuff'. They don't usually have cashiers help in electronics, but they decided they wanted to change things up by adding some cashiers to that department for more help. They figured it'd be less chaotic.

I got home around 12:45 that afternoon, took care of some stuff and went to Mike's parents to be with everyone for a bit. I crashed around 5 or 6p on the couch and slept for quite a while there. Around 11 I went home, went back to bed and woke up early again to be at work by 6:45 Saturday morning. That was a pretty crazy day, too. Long and busy, but I guess that's what comes along with working retail during the Holidays. lol

Last night, we went to see New Moon with Rafa and Amanda. I actually really enjoyed the movie! I liked it better than the first one. I haven't read the books, and probably never will read them, but I don't mind seeing the movies. Mike and I actually just watched the first Twilight movie two weeks ago and was better than we thought it would be.
