It's the Tuesday, After July 4th

Hello!! Just a quick update of what's been going on. It's kind of been a busy, busy week.

Last Thursday, 7/2, my sisters softball coach had a birthday and so her team and their families went to Shakey's for some pizza. I'd never been there before but their pizza was VERY good!! (but, I'm embarrassed to say, I'm stickler about money and I must say, very expensive, too lol)

Friday was a nice day. I had the day off and Mike only had to do one glass job in a close area, so he wasn't gone for no longer than two hours. I love it when we're both off on a holiday or a Saturday/Sunday. He came home from the job and we went to run errands and stuff.

I ended up getting my hair cut. SHORT. I think it's actually shorter than the last time it was 'short'. lol I don't have any pictures of it, yet, though.

My parents picked us up and we went to meet up with Mike's parents and the Stolls, a family in our ward, to eat at Islands and after, we'd go to the Angel's game.

To be honest, the Angels didn't really play that well, but it was still fun to go to the game and be at the stadium with family and friends. At one point, my mom and I got up to get some sodas and popcorn and it took us a while. We kind of got lost, actually. We ended up popping out at the very top and looked down to find our seats "wayy down there." We were probably gone getting snacks for about 45 minutes. lol After the game, there were some fireworks. The finale was a good one.

Saturday was a good day, too. I had to work at 9:45-4, but was lucky to be able to go to the beginning of the ward's 4th of July party before work. It was a breakfast and pinewood derby at 8 am and so Mike and I were able to go together and see his family there, too. After work, we drove to my parents house to their streets block party. It was an interesting one.

Later in the evening, when it got dark, everyone on their street was lighting fireworks; something my family really was not used to. We had always lived in cities where it was illegal and now that we're in Fontana, it's legal! So, we were all pretty excited to see the fireworks up close. It was really a lot of fun. Mike was used to it though, since he's lived here for most of his life, and was surprised at how excited we were about them lol

Sunday was Mindy's, (Mike's mom's) birthday. Later on after church, we went over to their house for dinner, a movie, and dessert.

In between all of this, Mike and I have realized how much we love smoothies. We have gotten into this smoothie kick. Yesterday, we went to the store and got tons of fresh fruit and etc to make different kinds of smoothies with. Right now, Mike's at work and I'm at home and I'm debating going into the kitchen to make one..... lol But, I know Mike would want to be here for them, so I'll wait.
