Do you know the way to San Jose?

So, last Tuesday (a week ago) my brother Andrew was pitching for his Pony Palomino team. He was pitching the fastest he's ever pitched. Normally, he's in the high 80s and his highest around 91 mph. But last Tuesday/Wednesday he was throwing so good! They said he definitely hit 93 and quite possibly hit 94 mph. They won their game on Wednesday, which would put them in the Pony World Series for the following weekend. So, my family and Mike and I all drove to San Jose to see him play on Saturday at 5 pm against Puerto Rico.

When Mike and I are getting ready for a long drive somewhere or a vacation, we stock up on snacks and junk food. So Friday, we went to target to stock up. We probably bought enough snacks for a three week trip.

We left for San Jose around 6:30 on Saturday morning and got to the hotel around 1:00. We went swimming a little bit before Drew's game at 5. Drew had pitched 19 innings in one week and was completely wiped out by the time this game came around. They didn't end up winning against Puerto Rico, but it was fun to get away for the weekend. Lots of driving, but it was really fun.

And we'd only be gone for two days, Saturday and Sunday, only staying the night for one night. So now we have lots of junk food left over.

(And we were eating so good!)

Mike laughed when he saw about 20 of these signs in a lot of empty fields on the way
